MAC Launches New MACximal Lipsticks
The launch of the MACximal Silky Matte Lipsticks proves only one thing: That you can improve on something iconic.
“I realize that there is such a thing as making a great thing even better,” said MAC Philippines brand general manager Audrey Laglagaron during the launch of MACximal in the Philippines at Whitespace in Makati.
The 40 famous and new shades of MACximal offer richer color pay-off and more coverage. They also offer more comfort with a creamy blend of coconut oil, organic Shea butter, and organic cocoa butter. All MACximal lipsticks also promise 12 hours of non-fading wear.
The matte finish feels luxurious and comfortable to wear - no drying feeling or dragging the lips.
During the MACximal music, makeup artist Gerry Penaso did a smokey eye look with nude lips on his muse Sanya Lopez. Penaso used deep tone beige Velvet Teddy, which has long been Sanya’s favorite lipstick.
“Actually, this is one of my favorite lipsticks from MAC, and ito talaga 'yung madalas kong ginagamit (I always use this) because it reflects my personality, simple but competitive," said Sanya.
Among the guests who got to try out the new MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick were P-pop girl group BINI, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, makeup artists RB Chanco and Jigs Mayuga, and the 2024 MAC Crew, which included Sanya, TikTokers Mitch Briones and Teree Daisuke, and YouTuber Ry Velasco. Drag performer and “Drag Race: UK vs. The World" queen Marina Summers is also part of the MAC Crew but she was abroad at the time of the launch.
The MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick are available at MAC stores and counters and on its LazMall Flagship store.
