Adobo has gone famous internationally thanks to traveling superstar chefs who are on the look out for awesome food. Two of the most famous variations of this dish are the pork adobo and chicken adobo.

1 kg | Chicken |
2 tbsp | Oil |
2 tbsp | Crushed garlic (or however much garlic you think you want/need - we love garlic) |
1 pouch | Mama Sita's Adobo Mix dissolved in 1 cup (250 ml) water |
4 to 5 | Laurel leaves |
A handful | Whole Peppercorns |
Optional | Hard-boiled eggs |
Mama Sita's Adobo Savory Sauce Mix
How to prepare | |
---|---|
Step 1 | Dissolve 1 pouch Mama Sita’s Adobo Mix in water. Marinate the chicken in this mixture for 15 minutes. |
Step 2 | In a saucepan, heat cooking oil. Remove the chicken from the marinade and fry over high heat until the edges turn golden brown. |
Step 3 | Pour in the marinade and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer until chicken is done. |
Step 4 | Sauté the garlic until golden, add the chicken pieces and stir-fry. Pour in any remaining sauce from the chicken. |
Step 5 | Cook over high heat for another 3 minutes. Remove from heat and serve. |
