As people grow up we come to realize the error of our interpretations of what adulthood really is, such as being able to put an end into these common myths surrounding adulthood:
1. You should have it all figured out.
You need to have a solid game plan when you finish school, time waits for no one and you need to get your priorities straight. I agree but not all at once, everything takes time and as life goes on we discover that the path we thought we wanted to take isn’t the path that we really wanted to do.

Life is a highway that you discover new things that you never thought of along the way. It’s alright to not have a details layout of your life at hand, just enjoy the present and life a blameless life.

2. You should get married.
Who wants to grow old sad? No one. Therefore, you should get married before it's too late. Which isn’t necessarily true. Fortunately for us we live in a new generation wherein it’s okay to not rush into marriage just because everyone is getting hitched.

Marriage is a commitment and like life, should never be rushed to keep up with tradition or with societal expectations. It’s acceptable to choose to not get married to your partner or just stay single at all. The world is alreay changing for the better.

3. Money is everything.
Money is something that everyone needs but I highly doubt that it’s everything that you need to dedicate your life to. You work hard to earn money to live life to the fullest and not the other way around, money shouldn’t control your life- you need to be wise in earning just as much as you should be in spending.

4. Everything you do should be "practical".
Career choices should always be the practical choice that will lead to better opportunities and a higher salary. Sure, but it depends on what your goals are for the future and what you want to do in the present time being. Not everyone feels that same way that life should be lived in a practical order, sometimes you just want to focus on interest rather than wages cause hey, that pays off too!

5. Life decisions become easier with age.
Absolutely false, making important decisions are never easy. It’s one of the most difficult things everyone has to do and even with tons of experience under your belt you will never have it all figured out on how to make the best decisions.

You just follow your mind and lead with your heart, whatever you think is best you should go with. Adulthood is a journey. Take it easy!
