3 Beauty Queens As Princesses: Seen Through BJ Pascual’s Lenses
A beauty brand has just brought together Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Gomez, and Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi in a campaign photographed by BJ Pascual.
BYS Philippines is making magic with the launch of its Disney Princess Collection. Over the years, Disney Princess heroines have continued to inspire fans of all ages—be it the warm and sincere Cinderella who believes in her dreams; the confident Belle who dares to be different and yearns for adventure; or the curious and brave Ariel who stands up for what she wants.

To take this creative collaboration to new heights, BYS Philippines has tapped photographer, author and Instagram influencer BJ Pascual.
Three queens as Disney Princesses but more modern and perhaps a bit edgy is the overall look of the campaign, Rabiya was styled as Ariel, Bea represented Belle, and Celeste was Cinderella.
“I took a page from the Romantic Era when there was an artistic, literary, musical, and intellectual movement in Europe and wove this in around the three heroines and how we define women’s roles in society now—taking the lead in adjusting to new realities and challenges. The old damsel-in-distress narrative is out and we hope to show that in the images,” said BJ.
