Help Website Provides Free Mental Health Survey

For many, 2022 started off with a series of unfortunate events. Our islands are still reeling from the havoc of the super typhoon that had hit just days before the new year and the cases of COVID-19 have snowballed to a record high. Two years into the lockdown, a lot of us, perhaps, have reached breaking point and have been feeling demotivated from all the things happening, especially the ones beyond our control.

While it is challenging, what we can take ownership of is our emotional and mental healing. It is for this reason that Break Your Stigma, a digital space created by BYS Philippines dedicated to helping Filipinos gain access to a directory of mental health professionals we can connect with, has launched a FREE Vanguard Assessments mental health survey on the website.

The Vanguard Assessments mental health survey is an evidence-based tool that screens and helps give a reflection of one's current mental health state. Anyone can accomplish the survey for free, which may take around 30 minutes to complete. Once completed, a mental health professional from Vanguard Assessments evaluates and writes a formal psychological report. This report will also include recommendations, so the respondent can be properly linked to a professional that can handle his or her case.

The mental health survey is not a prerequisite to seeking help and anyone may still directly engage with mental health professionals registered in our directory. However, taking it is a great starting point. It gives us something tangible that can provide a better understanding of what we are emotionally and mentally going through at the moment.

Break Your Stigma understands that the majority still find it difficult to acknowledge their issues, let alone seek help for them. Fundamental lack of understanding that leads to prejudice and discrimination against people who have a diagnosis, as well as the need for more access to assessment and treatment, all serve as deterrents to mental health care.

After the website’s successful launch last October 2021, BYS Philippines is continuing its efforts in mental health awareness, committed to providing relevant and concrete support to anyone who may need it. Further, it is the brand’s fervent hope to break the stigma surrounding mental health. You can expect more campaigns and activities in the near future to help this advocacy move forward.

As you navigate these challenging times, know that you don’t have to go through it alone. Seek help at BreakYourStigma.com.
