Jan 21 Kamala Harris' stepdaughter made quite a fashion splash

Ella Emhoff is technically the US Second Daughter because her stepmom is Vice President Kamala Harris.

She drew eyes on inauguration day for her Miu Miu coat worn over a Batsheva dress. Her curls were subdued on that day and she had a headband on. To complete the look, Emhoff wore round glasses and a black face mask, of course.

But even before the inaugural, Emhoff, a student at Parsons School of Design, already had a substantial following on Instagram.

And this is where her personality really shines. The 21-year-old budding designer makes colorful knitted and crocheted pieces such as dresses, pants, hats and bags by commission.

Also at the inaugural was Ella's brother Cole and their mother Kerstin Emhoff, who captioned their Instagram photo together with, "Ella made quite a splash today."
