Refreshingly Cool Summer Drinks You Can Easily Create

Whether we like it or not, summer is upon us. That means constantly being under the hot, icky season which leaves our tongues dry and salivating for ice-cold, refreshing drinks that will make us go “aaah” like those millennials in tea commercials. To keep you hydrated all throughout the dry months, we’re helping you craft a few famous thirst-quenching summer drinks.   

Cucumber Lemonade

Ingredients: 

1 cucumber
1 can of lemon concentrate
2 liters of  lime flavored soda

In a large pitcher, place cucumber slices. Add the lemon concentrate and let it stay for about 10 minutes. Add the lime soda and serve over ice. Guaranteed refreshing with a zesty taste. Add a sprig of mint to add a bit of bite. 

Vietnamese Iced Coffee

Ingredients: 

3 tbsps condensed milk
a cup and a half of strong coffee

In a tall glass filled with ice, add the condensed milk. Mix in the cooled coffee and stir. It’s the perfect caffeine booster while you’re out frolicking at the beach.  

Kiwi Punch

Ingredients:

about 7 kiwis
half cup of sugar
a cup of water
juice from 2 pcs of lime

In a pitcher, add in the pureed kiwi, lime juice, half cup of sugar and water. Mix well and serve over ice. You’ll surely feel the heat go away after a sip of this drink. 

Rootbeer Float

Ingredients:

A scoop of vanilla ice cream (or your favorite flavor if you wish)
A glass of rootbeer
A dollop of chocolate sauce

Just because not all summer drinks have to be fruity.  Add the scoop of ice cream to your glass of rootbeer and that’s it! Start enjoying your fizzy, soda drink. We’re guessing you’ll want to have another glass, or even two. 

Watermelon Slush

Ingredients: 

2 cups of watermelon (seeds taken out)
half cup of pomegranate juice
half cup of ice

In a blender, mix all ingredients. Blend until drink is smooth enough to drink. Transfer to a glass and start cooling down.
