What’s #MACPowderKiss and Why Is It Trending?
Last year, we first heard of MAC Powder Kiss lipsticks and their probable release in the last quarter of 2018.
MAC Powder Kiss promised “weightless moisture matte lipstick for a kiss of soft focus colour" and the words “softly blurred lines” definitely piqued the interest of those who like the gradient look popularized by Korean celebrities.
Perhaps one of the most powerful images in connection with the campaign is that of HyunA in the neutral shade Mull It Over.
The lipsticks look luscious. The tube has a powdery matte finish, unlike the glossier ones of most MAC lipsticks.
The most popular shade is Devoted to Chili, which is like a faded version of MAC’s famous Chili lipstick.
This shade, I heard, sold out in China immediately after its release. Thankfully, the line is permanent so you can get it at MAC stores nationwide for Php 1,100.
So what did I think of MAC Powder Kiss? I love the colors. I have Devoted to Chili and Shocking Revelation. I’m thinking of getting Burning Love.
The feel of the lipstick is weightless. It starts off as satin then becomes powdery after a few minutes. The wear was comfortable and the color faded well. It wasn’t drying or moisturizing.
Would I repurchase? Definitely, yes.
