The 3 Best Drugstore (Affordable) Primers You Should Definitely Be Using
Allow us to be completely honest here: We're not ENTIRELY sure how primers work so it's not exactly easy to differentiate one product or brand from another simply because they seem to all work the same way.
Covers your pores, makes you less oily, mattifies your makeup - these are only some of what primers can do. And just like any other makeup product, there are expensive ones and more affordable options. Before you dive into expensive primers, how about try out some affordable options? I have personally tried some good and bad ones throughout my beauty journey and more often than not, more expensive primers are more expensive for a reason.
But I have been able to get great results from cheaper options though and I narrowed the best 3 for you. Here they are:
1. Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser
Price: P 299.00
Perfect for: The primer first-timer
Awesome because: Number 1, it's cheap and number 2, it works pretty well. It's been getting good reviews from ladies all over the world too because it can mattify your look!
Bit of warning: You may need a Maybelline foundation to use or else your whole mug will end up looking oily and messy.
2. Nyx Angel Veil Primer
Price: P 800.00
Perfect for: The Matte Addict
Awesome because: It's sold out everywhere you go so that just has to mean something, right? It may be a bit up there but hey, most reviews say it's the ultimate dupe to Hourglass' primer.
Bit of warning: This little piece of heaven is literally hard to find.
3. Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm
Price: P 700.00
Perfect for: Those who want to achieve Korean skin smoothness
Awesome because: I personally think it's unique because it comes in balm form unlike most primers that come in tubes. This product really erases pores and makes your skin look so great especially those with acne scarring issues.
Bit of warning: You might not be used to using something like this. It comes in a tub, balm-style but it doesn't have anything you can use to scoop up product. Applying it is a bit of an issue.
