My 10-Step Daily All Glam Makeup Routine
I love makeup. There’s something about them that’s so beautiful and something about how you apply them that’s so therapeutic and relaxing. I learned to love going out to get to the office everyday because I look forward to slapping on layer after layer of makeup and watch my face transform right in front of my very eyes.
Check out YouTube and you’d see hundreds, if not thousands, of makeup tutorials where they serve you a natural look. Well, henny, I’m not about the natural look. If i’ll be spending thousands of pesos on makeup products, people better be noticing!!
If you’re into that sort of stuff, you’ve come to the right place. Here is my -step daily all glam game.
Step 1: Draw them Brows
After my morning skincare routine, while waiting for my sunblock to seep in, I start doing my brows. I use the Milani Stay Put Brow in Dark Brown. This formula almost feels like Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Dipbrow Pomade (in fact, they kind of look similar in packaging too 👀) but it’s waaaay cheaper at just Php 499.
Step 2: Clean that mess!
After drawing my sisters-not-twins eyebrows to fleekest perfection, I clean up the messy part and highlight them with Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Sand cause that product is so bomb and I’m not really crazy about that whole natural-eyebrows vibe.
Step 3: Base for your Face
I live for a not-totally-there-but-not-totally-natural look for the face base so I use IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination SPF 50+ in Light which literally gives you that gorgeous shimmering glow.
If I want a more matte look, I will mix some MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 in NC25. Beat, of course, with a forever reliable beautyblender.
Step 4: Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Using the same Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Sand, I dot on my pimple marks and slather some under my eyes to hide my excess eye baggage and dab, dab, dab with that same beautyblender.
Step 5: BAKE!
The hype is real, sis. Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is the makeup gods’ gift to earth. Using a damp beautyblender, I grab some product and bake away.
Step 6: Eyes
It may be an all glam daily look but it doesn’t mean I’d go packing my eyes with some crazy colors and glitter. I just tightline my eyes with a MAC Pro Longwear Eyeliner in Definedly Black and then just cut my crease with Oh What Fun, a sort of soft brown color, from the Super Fun Night palette of the Too Faced Best Year Ever collection.
Step 6: Lash blast
On days when I feel like it’s gonna be a busy sweaty day, I wear L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise. On regular days, I go for Benefit Cosmetics Bad Gal Bang. Do it after you curl your lashes, of course.
Step 7: Contour
Before I brush off the setting powder, I contour with MAC Extra Dimension Bronzing Powder in Delphic. Just a soft shadow to give my face some dimension then I brush off the setting powder and put the excess all over the rest of my face.
Step 8: Blush
I only fell in love with blush pretty recently and I can’t stop. It’s so satisfying to see a pop of color on your face after creating a nice, flawless base. For blush, I interchange the classic cult fave NARS Blush in Orgasm and Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Color in Miss Independent.
Step 9: Highlight for the Gawds!
On days when I want to tone things down, I use Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlighter in Champagne Pop.
When I want things to get poppin’ on the reg, I use Fenty Beauty Kilawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Hu$tla Baby with a tinge of Fenty Beauty Kilawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife just on the top of my cheeks, browbone, middle of my nose, and cupid’s bow.
Step 10: Ready, Set that Face
Maybe because I just don’t know how to use it but on easy days, I use the MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ to set my face.
On heavy days, I interchange between the Kat Von D Lock-it Makeup Setting Mist and the Urban Decay All-Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray.
