The Glass Slippers for the Girl Who Only Wears Sneakers
Does your shoe wardrobe consist mostly of sneakers and trainers just because they're more practical and easy to move in?
And while you aren't a princess who wears heels, you sometimes wish comfortable footwear was, well, girly?
Well, Nike seems to have heard girls and women like us who want to be comfy but still look feminine.
The limited-edition “Glass Slipper” Nike Air Force 1 Upstep High LX uses a combination of rose- and turquoise-colored sequins to create a shimmering effect reminiscent of Cinderella's glass slippers.
The shoe’s upper part has white leather details for the eyestay, heel, strap, Swoosh and tongue. The laces, midsole and outsole are also white.
This isn't the first time that Nike has released such a shoe.
WMNS Air Force 1 Upstep Low (now completely sold out everywhere) has sequins to add shine across the upper and a translucent outsole.
Anyway, if you missed out on these two releases, don't fret. The sneaker world is actually not lacking in girly footwear. You just have to know to find them.
The Skechers Go Step Lite-Enchanted is a ballerina shoe with the brand's very popular sole. You can't go wrong with this--it is comfortable and sturdy, yet it's something you can wear with a skirt or dress.
Puma Fenty Bow Women's Sneakers have an all over satin upper with a tonal outsole, a delicate satin bow and the PUMA by Rihanna signature tongue patch. It comes in different colors, too.
The Nike Wmns Air Vapor Max, a new release, looks like a glass slipper, too, with the visible cushioning. It has flexible Nike Flyknit upper "to create the lightest, most flexible Air Max ever."
