Lipstick Diaries: The Story Behind Carina's Love
Last year, my friend went to London to visit the queen. Not Queen Elizabeth II but Charlotte Tilbury, the queen of makeup.
She brought back a bunch of lipsticks from the brand for me but what stood out was Carina's Love, which is named after Hong Kong-based actress Carina Lau.
Carina's Love stood out to me because it is a true red that's just right. Not too dark or not too bold.

Sometimes, red lipstick can be overwhelming but Carina's Love makes it possible for a girl to wear red lipstick every day.
It was Charlotte Tilbury who said, "Lipstick is powerful. It has the power to completely change your mind."
Carina's Love makes me feel like I have everything under control. It has an expensive feel when you glide it across your lips so there's a feel good quality to it.

Best of all, I like Carina's Love because of two women.
One is Carina Lau, for whom it was named after. Carina is a courageous woman who loves life and has survived many challenges.

The second woman is my friend, who shall be unnamed. She is younger than me but I admire her for her intelligence and determination.
