Alex Bruce takes No Prisoners in her new single.
After raking in more than a million views on YouTube for her live performance of “Mind As A Weapon,” 12-year-old hip-hop rhyme-bender Alex Bruce serves “Pull It Off” as her latest offering.
The take-no-prisoners cut, first played on hip-hop radio station Wave 89.1, is her first under Sony Music Philippines. Produced by Jim Poblete, it serves as a continuation of the young Batangas-based MC’s streak of empowering anthems.
In stark contrast to the evident appeal possessed by “Dopest,” released four months prior to her debut, “Pull It Off” presents a diamond in the rough confidently and unashamedly telling the world that she needs no approval from anyone, dropping her bars excitedly, with a fire that cannot be extinguished, reminiscent of a younger Ruby Ibarra or Cardi B sans the profanity.
If there’s anything you can expect out of this song, it’s a star-making showcase that goes beyond theatrics; the perfect ending to your summer.
"Pull It Off" is now available on streaming and download platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes store, and Deezer via Sony Music Philippines.
