Queen Elizabeth II Just Posted Her First IG Photo and it Was All Sorts of Cute

While most of us struggle at having to explain the intricacies of Instagram to our parents and grandparents, let alone social media, the Queen of England is rocking it. She posted her very first Insta photo @theroyalfamily, which happens to be the crown’s official IG handle.

This took place at the London Science Museum where the Queen had an earlier appointment. Another person who was also was able at the museum was able to document the moment on video.

Queen Elizabeth’s post was a photo of a letter addressed to her great-great-grandfather, Prince Albert. The caption read, "Today, as I visit the Science Museum I was interested to discover a letter from the Royal Archives, written in 1843 to my great-great-grandfather Prince Albert," the queen wrote. "Charles Babbage, credited as the world’s first computer pioneer, designed the 'Difference Engine,' of which Prince Albert had the opportunity to see a prototype in July 1843. In the letter, Babbage told Queen Victoria and Prince Albert about his invention the "Analytical Engine" upon which the first computer programmes were created by Ada Lovelace, a daughter of Lord Byron. Today, I had the pleasure of learning about children’s computer coding initiatives and it seems fitting to me that I publish this Instagram post, at the Science Museum which has long championed technology, innovation and inspired the next generation of inventors. Elizabeth R."

We just wonder if she asked tips from her grandchildren on filters and Insta Stories? Or perhaps if she should start providing content daily? Cos that would be really cool of her, right?
