Funny Tweets About NDRRMC, Everybody's New Textmate Who Got No Chill
Gone are the days when "ate/kuya namali ako ng send ng load ng 300 paki balik" and "Kumusta, si tito mo to may bago akong number" bombarded our phones. With the rise of floods and the crazy downpour of water ushers in a new alert that surely left us all LITERALLY SHOOK.
NDRRMC or the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council is, without a doubt, being active AF these days. I mean, we're not complaining at all cause they are definitely managing disaster risk reduction pretty well with their crazy ass alerts.
As with everything, you either love it or hate it. And as with anything, Twitter's got opinions.
A lot of people felt the love.

NDRRMC's alerts do not only take care of rains and floods, but apparently lonely hearts as well.

Walang paki yung NDRRMC kung mainis ka man o hindi sa mga text niya. Gusto lang ng NDRRMC na safe ka. 'Yan ang unconditional love. Tatanggihan mo pa ba? Kaya ka single eh.

Piliin mo yung NDRRMC, concerned kahit di mo pinapansin.

Some are obviously literally shook because of the crazy loud sound their alert texts make.

There may be some good, loving feedbacks from NDRRMC's "clingyness" but we can't really avoid those that complain. *eep*
Sino gang nagbigay ng number ko sa NDRRMC? 😡
— Dave (@HosmilloDave) July 22, 2018
OA na ata sa alert tong NDRRMC 😕
— Zel Bautista (@zelbautista) July 19, 2018
How ever you feel about the loud, constant alarms, it's important to remember that this is a good step towards our progress! Can you remember the times when we didn't even know what was coming and our fellow Filipinos had a hard time recovering from the intense floods and disasters? Even in days like these, prevention is better than cure.
Now be annoyed at NDRRMC all you want but the fact that you were woken up by an government-sponsored emergency alarm is fantastic
— Alo Lantin (@ALOveyoutoo) July 22, 2018
Omg, don't quote my tweet about NDRRMC if you're just going to complain even more (ex. I received the same alert 3+ times & it's annoying huhu) bc I won't hesitate to tell you to check your fucking privilege.
— SheaIea Iral 🌻🍃 (@ssiral_) July 22, 2018
Too much info is better than no info & putting lives at risk. Wag ako.
I hear so many complaints about the NDRRMC alerts, but I think it's a step towards progress. Here in Japan, the government also sends warnings by phone. And we've been jolted awake by the noise, too. But nobody complains, because it can actually save your life.

This is a really good thing you’re doing @NDRRMC_OpCen. Thanks. Stay safe, folks. pic.twitter.com/IQaw5JgSIr
