Women Win and Takeover the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards

It’s awards season and on the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards which honors the best U.S. primetime television programming as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, deserving women came through and snagged their well-deserved nominations and wins.

Much loved television show host, actor, and writer Stephen Colbert hosted tonight’s festivities and we garnered down the awardees of the women’s categories as well as those that are won by woman-centric shows.

This year's Emmy has been very political and outspoken on several issues each show and category stood for - a glamorous event that moved perspectives and changed history.
