Someone Painted Edna Mode and the Fallen Supers and We're Totally Screaming
Edna Marie E. Mode or more popularly known as "E" or "Edna Mode" is the small but terribly awesome superhero outfit designer from The Incredibles.
This eccentric fashion designer has always been in our hearts ever since she started developing that blue suit for Mr. Incredible. If there's anything anyone could remember Edna with, it's her famous line, "No capes!" which she blurted out when Mr. Incredible started talking to her about a suit with capes.
This is ultimately our favorite part so we immediately got excited when we came across this OMG-so-cool digital painting created by Denver Balbaboco.
Created and voiced by the multi-talented Brad Bird, Edna Mode has truly become one of the most iconic women in modern history despite her short appearance on the film. Who wouldn't be surprised when she's speculated to be inspired from the editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, herself?
Edna was created to show the audience how superheroes get their extravagant costumes - something not usually told on screen back in 2004 when The Incredibles launched. She has become such a breakout character that she has a whole Wikipedia page to herself. You can check it out here.
We're excited to push kids ~just kidding~ and get in line to see our favorite superhero family, The Incredibles 2, on cinemas this year. But of course, we're even more excited to see more of Edna.
