A month has passed since 2018—have you kept your New Year’s resolutions?
If you’re like most people, you probably haven’t. So here are some tips to help you to stick to your resolutions.
1. Be realistic
Aim for goals that are attainable and reasonable. Instead of “I’ll lose 20 pounds by the third week of January,” maybe go for “I’ll go to the gym at least once a week.”
2. Checklist
Always remember to track your progress. If your goals are health related, make sure to weigh yourself once in a while to see if you’re losing any pounds. Check how many times you’ve gone to the gym. Make sure to track your progress regularly so you’ll see if you’re succeeding or not.
3. Find inspiration
Find anything that gives you a boost of encouragement and inspire you to work toward your goals.
4. Tell a friend
Involving friends or family in your resolutions can be a big help. They can support and motivate you throughout the year.
5. Visualize
Turn your thoughts into something you can see everyday (writing it down, creating a mood board, etc.) that’ll motivate you for sure.
Always remember that you don’t have to wait till the New Year to change yourself for the better. You can always do that at any time.
The key words are motivation, inspiration and encouragement. It’s only February. You can still do this.
