Town Center partnered with ALAB UPIS – the UP Integrated School Batch ‘97 Alumni Group – and launched a momentous project earlier this year called “Gunita.” In English, it means “memory” or “remembrance.”For this group, it’s an ode to stories of youth, coming of age and friendships that have stood the test of time.

UP Town Center is more than just a mall. The “Homecoming” campaign aims to educate Townies about former UPIS landmarks that are now their favorite UPTC spots.

“Gunita is not just about paying homage to the school.where we grew up in, but it’s also a way to share its beautiful history as well as our stories with the new generation. The landmarks, the IG filters, it really brings back memories in a different way,” said Joy Cruz, UPIS ‘97 alumni.

UPIS may have found a new home, but the memories created in the old school campus will live forever in the hearts and minds of both UPIS alumni and UPTC Townies.
