You Can Now Get Your COVID-19 Booster Shot At Watsons
Thanks to the Resbakuna sa Botika program, you can now get your COVID-19 booster shot at Watsons, SM Supercenter Pasig.
Resbakuna sa Botika is a partnership between the government and the private sector to expand the mass immunization drive and address the shortage of vaccinators. The proximity of the commercial districts where the pharmacies are located to people’s residences is an important aspect of the program in light of the government’s “no vaccination, no ride” policy.
Watsons is one of the pharmacies that are part of the program,
As early as June 2021, Watsons Philippines started providing its 8000+ employees with free vaccinations against COVID-19 because the company believes this is important in protecting protecting all Filipinos and helping the economy.
“Watsons Philippines is very honored to be part of this noteworthy project of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and Department of Health (DOH). We believe in making vaccination accessible to as many Filipinos as possible. We encourage our customers to get their booster vaccinations here. We are also offering shopping incentives to those who will have their vaccinations done in Watsons,” said Watsons General Manager Danilo S. Chiong during the roll-out of Resbakuna sa Botika at Watsons, SM Supercenter Pasig.
The government said the vaccines would be administered for free and each pharmacy or clinic would be given 50-100 booster doses per day for one week, or 500 per week, for the pilot program. Registration for the vaccinations is still required.
For the initial phase of the program, only the Astra Zeneca and Sinovac vaccines will be available as these do not require special storage and can be stored in regular refrigerators. The Department of Health said other vaccine brands may be made available in the next phases of the program.
“LOOK GOOD DO GOOD FEEL GREAT is Watsons’ promise to our customers because a leading health and beauty retailer, we aim to uplift the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve,” said Chiong.
