Wines, roses and chocolates on love day
The French and the Italian Chambers of Commerce in the Philippines and The Tasting Club are holding a virtual tasting experience featuring the iconic Bordeaux and Chianti wine regions and Filipino artisan chocolates on Valentine's Day at 5pm via a special Zoom event.
Three guest speakers will take everyone on an epicurean journey from Mindanao in the Philippines, the land of premium cacao beans, to Bordeaux in France and Chianti in Italy for the ultimate experience in fine red wines.
Rex Puentespina, farmer and chocolate maker of Malagos, will share the making process of his award-wining chocolates and the differences between 65%, 72% and 85% dark chocolates.
Wilfried Bourceau, owner and winemaker of Vignobles Bourceau in Bordeaux, will present the philosophy of his five generations-owned family estate and the characteristics of their awarded wines.
Filippo Vanni, export director of Ricasoli in Chianti, will introduce the legacy of the first wine estate in Chianti since 1141 and the fine quality of its wines.
Each participant will receive a tasting set featuring everything you need to celebrate Valentine's Day at home. The set includes a Malagos chocolate tasting collection gift set; a bottle of Château La Gamaye red wine, AOC Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux 2016, Ricasoli red wine, DOCG Chianti 2018 or one bottle of each wine; and 100 silk blend rose petals.
The chocolate tasting collection set has 27 grams each of 65%, 72% and 85% Dark Chocolate.
Of course, the fee includes access to the Zoom presentation and free delivery within Metro Manila.
The tasting set fee is Php2,200 at regular price and Php1,980 for ICCP/CCI members for one bottle of wine.
For two bottles of wine, the regular price is Php2,900 and Php2,610 for ICCP/CCI members.
