We finally got to try Panda Express and this is what we think of it

We've only seen Panda Express and their red takeout boxes on Instagram and YouTube. We've always wanted to try their their famous Orange Chicken but with the pandemic that's kept us homebound, that seemed impossible even if Panda Express had already opened its first branch in the country at SM Megamall in December 2019.

So recently, we managed to go to SM Megamall because we had some errands in the area and we decided on some Panda Express takeout.

We got the Orange Chicken, of course, and it was as good as we expected. Think of it as sweet and sour pork except this is chicken and it's less sweet.

We also ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and it was okay but not really a standout, in our opinion.

What was a standout for us was the Eggplant Tofu. We loved how firm the eggplant remained even with the sweet and spicy sauce as there's nothing more unappetizing than soggy vegetables. This dish was the perfect complement to the Orange Chicken.

Next on our list, if we get the chance to get Panda Express again, are the Broccoli Beef, Fried Rice and the Savory Shrimp.

We're also looking forward to trying their Fortune Cookies, which are available when you get the meals and not the entrees alone.

In the Philippines, Panda Express is located at the Upper Ground Floor of SM Megamall A.
