Olivia Rodrigo is on top of the world
In the past few days, we've heard the name Olivia Rodrigo a lot. Who is she and why is everyone talking about her?
The 17-year-old Olivia is a singer currently on top of major streaming charts with her debut single “Drivers License," which dominated Apple Music’s Top 100: Global chart, and Spotify’s Global Top 200 chart after its January 8 release.

"Drivers License," which Olivia co-wrote, broke Spotify's record twice for most daily streams ever for a non-holiday song. It had over 15.17 million global streams on Spotify on January 11 and on January 12, the song surpassed this record with over 17 million global streams.

The song is also trending on TikTok while the music video currently has over 27 million views on YouTube.
On her Instagram, Olivia wrote, "uhhhhhh so drivers license is the number one song in the world rn. never in my wildest dreams did I expect this. thank u guys so much for listening. I can’t believe this is real life."

Olivia, who has Filipino blood, played Paige Olvera in the series "Bizaardvark" on the Disney Channel for three years. She is also in "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" on Disney+.
