We tried Mary Kay's Naturally and here's what we can say about it
Mary Kay Naturally is Mary Kay's first natural skincare range. For the four-piece collection, Mary Kay went through a third-party certification process from EcoCert, a European certifying body that ensures that the products are free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, synthetic dyes and the packaging is environmentally conscious.
We received all four products from Mary Kay Philippines and here's what we think of 2/4 of them after three weeks of using them.
We didn't get to try the two cleansers in the range yet. The Naturally Purifying Cleanser is a combination of cornflower floral water, sweet almond oil, glycerin and Vitamin E. The product claims go remove dirt without leaving the skin feeling dry and tight.
The Naturally Exfoliating Powder, meanwhile, contains starch, hydrogenate castor oil, citric acid and baking soda. It is a powder that you can mix with the cleanser or some water.
We did try the Naturally Moisturizing Stick made a stick balm that has candelilla wax, beeswax and squalane along with antioxidants sunflower seed wax and sunflower seed oil. We didn't use it on the face but it worked so well on the hands, elbows and cuticles. Because our hands are so dry due to the constant washing and rubbing with alcohol, this makes a handy balm to carry in your bag as it works like a hand cream.
Finally, there's my favorite from the range--the Naturally Nourishing Oil, which contains sweet almond oil, sesame oil, olive squalane and Vitamin E. This is a simple facial oil that works well with a skincare routine that includes actives and/or acids that can leave skin dry. You only need to use two to three drops for the face and neck areas. It didn't leave skin oily or cause any breakouts.
