Since its launch in 2016, Viu Philippines has always been listening to Filipino K-drama fans and what they want. With the non-stop growth in interest for K-drama, Viu realized that there are still fans who prefer to watch the dubbed versions than to read subtitled ones. To answer their request, Viu has decided to localize K-dramas by dubbing them in Tagalog for more Filipinos to enjoy, kicking off with “Emergency Couple” and “When the Weather is Fine.”

“Emergency Couple” is a romcom about two exes. Years after their very messy married life that quickly ended in a divorce, Oh Jin-hee (Song Ji-hyo) and Oh Chang-min (Choi Jin-hyuk) meet again as fellow interns at a hospital emergency room. The drama stars Song Ji Hyo of “Running Man” and Choi Jin Hyuk who recently starred in “Zombie Detective.”

“When the Weather is Fine” is a healing love story about a city girl who returns to the province after getting burnt out in Seoul. Back in her hometown, Mok Hae-won (Park Min-young) becomes closer to her neighbor and high school classmate, Im Eun-seob (Seo Kang-joon) who happens to be harboring feelings for her since childhood. The drama stars Park Min-young of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” and Seo Kang-joon of “Are You Human?”
