Rowoon isn't just K-pop's tall guy
Rowoon is jokingly called "SF9's best recruiter" because many fans get into the FNC Entertainment boy group SF9 because of him. Some fans see Rowoon in a drama and begin to explore SF9's music and activities.
The 24-year-old Rowoon has been active as an actor and idol since 2016. He has appeared in a number of dramas, including "School 2017" and "Where Stars Land."
But it was in the 2019 hit "Extraordinary You" that Rowoon was finally noticed by fans and critics alike.
In "Extraordinary You," Rowoon played Haru, a character in a comic book. He and his leading lady Kim Hye-yoon had undeniable chemistry onscreen despite the height difference between them.
At 190cm or around 6'3", Rowoon is one of the tallest K-pop idols. In an interview, Rowoon said he is actually 190.5cm. Fans guess he is taller.
Aside from his height and looks, Rowoon is also known for being humble and well-mannered.
In a previous interview, he talked about how he hoped his popularity as an actor would help promote SF9.
"Since I am a member of SF9, I am hoping for a positive effect where SF9 will be known if I’m known. Originally, I was going to use Kim Rowoon, but I was used to being called [just] Rowoon, and I thought it might be helpful for SF9," said Rowoon, whose real name is Kim Seok-woo.
Watch out for Rowoon's new drama "Sunbae, Don’t Put On That Lipstick." The drama is about about Yoon Song-ah (Won Jin-ah) who refuses to date younger men and Chae Hyun-seung (Rowoon) who is her junior at work.
"Sunbae, Don't Put On That Lipstick" is the drama adaptation of the popular 2017 webtoon of the same title.
Aside from being an actor and idol, Rowoon is also a popular endorser and brand ambassador. He is currently the face of cosmetic brand Klavuu.
Rowoon is also the model of North Face White Label Collection.
Along with rest of SF9, Rowoon is also a model for Body Fantasies fragrances.
And was the endorser of Gong Cha until October.
