Self-care tips for the holidays!
No Grab or Angkas available? The MRT’s a hassle? Long lines everywhere? Traffic? No problem.
The thing is that because of the holidays, every situation that aggravates us on a daily basis is even worse now. I'll be honest: There are days when I don't want to get up from my bed at all.
But things need to get done. So I soldier on, with the help of the following self-care tips that I have picked up along the way:
1. I realize now that I don't need to join the holiday rush. I don't have to go to the mall and line up with everyone to get presents. That can wait. My wellbeing is more important. I can give people on my wish list cash or I can give out presents in January.
2. I don't overindulge. I eat normally and just have a taste of party food like lechon and cakes when they're there. I try to eat a balanced diet everyday. Some days, it's fast food but it is what it is.
3. I try to avoid drinking heavily. I know that's difficult during this season but I realize that drinking doesn't really calm me and sometimes, makes me more nervous. During parties, I stick with sparkling water.
4. I know that no matter how well I try to eat, I don't really get to eat all my body's required amount of vegetables and fruits. As I said earlier, some days it's fast food.
5. Taking a multivitamin daily gives me the sustainable energy to keep going. Pharmaton js a multivitamin and supplements brand that contains vitamins, minerals and Ginseng Extract G115 in amounts which suit the body's daily requirements. Pharmaton helps relieve exhaustion caused by stress!
6. My last tip is: Don't be too hard on yourself. You're not expected to do everything perfectly.
